I'm a huge advocate and aid toward research on diabetes and kidney disease.

I lost my mother to kidney failure correlated to gestational diabetes,  when I was 23 years old.

I remember my mom as being so fun, full of life, and ready for a meaningful experience.

Unfortunately the last 9 years of her life, I watched her slowly loose movement and motivation for life which was so unlike her, I remember her always being tired and cold due to dialysis, my mothers struggles and passing with kidney failure has been one of the hardest experiences of my life.

I miss my mom dearly, and wish for nothing more but to see her, there is a bittersweet side to this story my mother Kay was an organ donor and she was able to help save another women life by giving her pancreas. I think with more research we would be able to save more lives in the future.
